So we are now heading into another month and despite all the uncertainty in the world, here at Bury Lane Farm Shop and Arrington Garden Centre we are making the best of a difficult situation and hopefully helping you to do the same.
This is just a mini newsletter to keep you up to date with our seasonal produce, social distancing measures and delivery services.
We can’t wait to be able to fully open when the time is right and welcome you all back with open arms, but in the meantime please stay safe.
The first crop of asparagus is now flooding into the Farm Shop after the recent warm weather – marry it up with Hollandaise Sauce, melted butter or make a soup for those chillier days.
Cut early in the morning only a few metres away and in the shop by the time we open. You can’t get much fresher than that.
Spring into the Garden ARRINGTON GARDEN CENTRE - HOME DELIVERY SERVICE
We are delighted to be able to offer a home delivery service of garden plants (including bedding, herbaceous, shrubs and trees), compost, pots and containers, feeds, pesticides and tools.
Delivery is within an approximate 10 mile radius of Arrington, £20 minimum order value plus £5 delivery charge.
PLEASE NOTE WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT CHANGES OR ADDITIONS ONCE AN ORDER HAS GONE FOR PICKING.
We do not have a list of plants or a price list due to availability and the temporary nature of this service. With bedding, we are requesting a budget to work to. Vegetable seeds have sold out and veg plants are extremely limited (tomatoes, marrows, cucumbers – no peppers, sorry!).
We have a good selection of herbaceous plants, ferns, fruit trees, etc in stock and all available for delivery however we cannot promise specific varieties or colours.

9cm pot veg (limited choice) – £1.29, 12 pack for £3.29

Fresh Fruit and Veg
Fresh Fruit, Veg & Flowers @ Bury Lane As well as our home grown asparagus, we also have home grown Oriental lilies and the first peonies of the season are due to be harvested any day now. We grow several varieties of both flowers and when the peonies come to an end we will have the delightful apaganthus adorning our shop. We are also selling Cornish alstromeria and other seasonal flowers as they become available from the growers. Other late spring/early summer produce such as Jersey Royal Potatoes and strawberries are on sale and bring with them daydreams of long sunny days and happy times.
Down on the Farm @ Bury Lane The farm stops for no man and no virus! Nature finds a way and our farm team have been working exceptionally hard as we enter into the busy growing season whilst maintaining safe working distances. The first of the asparagus is now being picked, expect plentiful supplies from now until approximately late June Our Oriental lily production continues all year round Our strawberry plants are looking good and the flowers are just opening so we hope to get the first crop towards the end of May Indoor peonies should be ready to pick in the next few days We’ve had some gorgeous stocks and campanulas for sale recently, these were trial crops so hopefully they will return again next year
